Four Eyes Lab
The UC Santa Barbara Four Eyes Lab conducts research in new methods and technologies for human-computer interaction, advancing the state-of-the-art in the above-mentioned areas. Much of the lab’s research spans multiple computer science disciplines, including computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, and HCI. In addition, much involves collaborations with researchers in departments such as Electrical and Computer Engineering, Media Arts and Technology, Psychological and Brain Sciences, and Geography. The lab develops new algorithms, implements novel interaction techniques, and evaluates new interfaces through user studies. Recent research has led to awards in top research venues for augmented reality, user modeling, mobile HCI, multimedia, 3D interfaces, and more, as well as an augmented reality startup company that was acquired in 2016.
