Applications Sought for Lecturers in Data Science

UCSB's Bren School of Environmental Science and Management invites applications for temporary, part-time lecturers who can teach one or more graduate-level courses for master’s students pursuing professional degrees in Environmental Data Science (MEDS) and/or Environmental Science and Management (MESM).

The Bren School is specifically looking to fill positions in the following areas of Data Science instruction:

  • Data Visualization and Communication
  • Ethics and Bias
  • Analytic Workflows and Scientific Reproducibility
  • Team Science, Collaborative Analysis and Project Management
  • Metadata Standards, Data Modeling and Data Semantics
  • Text and Sentiment Analysis for Environmental Problems
  • Machine Learning for Environmental Science
