Computer Science faculty Xifeng Yan and Yu-Xiang Wang have have developed a forecasting model, inspired by artificial intelligence (AI), that provides information about COVID-19 on a local level. The model can be used by politicians and health officials to help make decisions directly relevant to their communities.
